A Year of Connection and Growth

As we welcome the new year, Scott Haase and Tony Wells, the owners of Grass Fed Cattle Co., are looking back on their first year with gratitude for the customers and community that support them. Scott shares that he is incredibly proud of the service they provide, stating, "I feel like we're providing a really valuable service to our customers that is just lacking otherwise." He notes that while there are other good sources for grass fed beef, the company strives to make it convenient for Twin Cities customers by offering transparency and same day pickups and delivery options. Tony echoes this pride, emphasizing the joy of "being able to tell our customers that we raise and source the highest quality beef, pork, chicken and turkey that farmers can really raise."

Reflecting on the surprises of the past year, both owners were moved by the people they encountered. Scott observed that their "group of customers is just so diverse," including people from all backgrounds "all brought together by this desire for real food and being willing to seek out good food." Tony was equally excited by the loyalty of the community, remarking how it is "very cool to see return customers that place orders multiple times a year" alongside the many new faces they see each month.

The year was not without its challenges, particularly with supply and inventory. Scott mentioned that "beef prices have been really high, so that puts pressure on all parts of the market." Tony described the biggest challenge as "keeping inventory in stock," noting that they were "scrambling to get cattle processed every month almost all year long." Despite these hurdles, they are thankful for the patience of their customers and are happy to report they are "better stocked up now here at the end of the year going into 2026."

The personal interactions with customers have provided the most meaningful highlights for both Scott and Tony. Scott fondly remembers a testimonial about their holiday turkeys where a customer boasted it was the "best turkey they've ever had" and specifically noted that "the leftovers didn't feel like torture!" Tony recalls the excitement of a customer named Ben who picked up a large order in Lakeville and couldn't wait to "get some of this meat on the grill this weekend."

Looking ahead to 2026, Scott and Tony are eager to continue growing these genuine connections. Scott is "really looking forward to conversations with even more customers, getting this amazing, nutrient dense food out to an even bigger audience." Tony is focused on getting more customer feedback to find new ways to better serve customers and explore new product offerings. Everyone at Grass Fed Cattle Co. is incredibly thankful for your support this past year and looks forward to serving you in the new year!
